Saudi customs and compliance, explained

Every shipment into Saudi Arabia is declared to the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) through the FASAH platform, and many products also need approval from other regulators before they are released. Regulated consumer and industrial goods need SABER Product and Shipment Certificates of Conformity, while food, cosmetics, medicines and medical devices fall under the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA). Duty is charged on the customs value of the goods, and 15% VAT is charged on top of the value plus duty.

The guides in this category walk through those steps in plain language: which documents to prepare, how HS codes affect duty and certification, what slows a declaration down and how to avoid fines or storage charges at the port. They are written by the Zenlogix team in Riyadh for importers, exporters and procurement managers who need goods cleared without surprises.

If you would rather hand the process over, see our customs clearance service, our support for SABER certificates and SFDA registration, or ask for a quote.
