Freight & Shipping

Guides to air, sea, rail and road freight to and from Saudi Arabia.

Choosing how to ship to and from Saudi Arabia

The right freight mode depends on what you ship, how fast it has to arrive and what you can spend. Sea freight through Jeddah Islamic Port and King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam carries most of the Kingdom’s imports, either as a full container (FCL) or shared space in a consolidated container (LCL). Air freight into Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam is faster and is charged on chargeable weight. Sea-air through a Gulf hub sits between the two, and road freight links Saudi Arabia with the rest of the GCC.

These articles compare the options on cost, transit time and risk, explain the terms you will see on a freight quote, and set out the questions to ask before you choose a forwarder. Each one is written for shippers working with Saudi Arabia, not for a generic global audience.

When you are ready to book, see our sea freight, air freight and road freight services, or request a quote for your shipment.
